About

Cristina is a certified counsellor and clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience. Cristina has her Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Manitoba College of Social Workers.

Her experience ranges from various community mental health programs in both Alberta and Manitoba. She has several years of experience working with children/youth and their parents in both community programs and school systems. 

After obtaining her Master’s degree her work shifted to providing private counselling services to both adults and children/youth. She has level two training for Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy to help youth and their caregivers through developmental trauma. She is currently in the process of adding somatic therapy to her practice. Trauma-informed services and attachment-based theories are at the core of her services.

She has training and experience in culturally diverse settings, mental health and community health settings, as well as school mental health.
